I can't remember a time before singing. I'm beginning to think I may have 'popped out singing' (probably something from a musical)! In fact,...one of my earliest memories, is a trip to visit my 10 cousins in Vermont.There was NO LOCK on the bathroom door! My remedy? I kept singing over & over again, 'Don't come in the bathroom,I'm in the bathroom!' Years later, at my cousins wedding, he asked if I was the one singing in his bathroom (guess I made an impression of some sort!!? lol). In school, I was whimpy. Vultures love wimps, so I became a loner,spending most of my studyhall sessions playing my guitar, in the 'boys bathroom-turned storageroom' across the hall from music class. What IS it with me & bathrooms??! Back then, my repertoire consisted of folksy stuff, like Carly Simon&Carol King. I remember standing at the mirror, with my 3 sisters, singing 'twisted', a fond memory.And tho I prefer singin round the campfire, if U hear 'singin in the rain' comin from my shower, U can be sure its not Doris Day!! :)
