We come to God as condemned sinners deserving nothing but death.The only merits that will stand at the day of judgment are those of Christ. We are accepted as righteouess by faith in the substitutonary sacrifice of Christ. Our sins are imputed to Him and His righteouness is imputed to us in which we stand before God Rom 5:9-11, 18,19 2 Cor 5:21.Justification is not a process or is it included with sanctification. We can add no works of our own to the perfect merits of Christ Rom 11:6; Gal 2:21 If we add anything to the blood and merits of Christ we are cut off from all hope of salvation Gal 1:6-9
