Although there have been many difficult periods due to my disability I have and continue to lead a full and active life.I started school when I was nine.I went to a boarding school called Stanmore House in Lanark, and I went home on the weekends - that way I met new friends. I loved school so much that I never wanted to go home because the staff were so helpful and friendly. I went to a SU camp in ?? which was religion based. I met a lot of new people there.I went there when I was 16.I left school when I was 18, and I went on holiday for 2 weeks to Inverness.I fell in love with the city and decided to move there.I approached the Red Cross, who organised a place for me to stay in.
