Paltalk SuperIM URL - how it works:

Getting Started - the Basics:

• You get a FREE SuperIM URL when you register with Paltalk that is based on your registered nickname. Your URL will look like this: http://www.superim.me/yournickname.
• Choose to either use a generated SuperIM URL or create a customized vanity URL. Your vanity URL will look like this: http://mary.superim.me, http://plumbingnyc.superim.me.
• Share your SuperIM URL with your friends and family. If you are logged in to Paltalk, you will be notified that your friends are trying to reach you on your SuperIM URL.

How does it work?

You're going to have many people visiting you via your SuperIM URL. Web visitors will supply their name and you receive a popup notification within Paltalk. You can either accept or reject the SuperIM request. If you accept, a new SuperIM conversation is opened with the both of you in it. If you decline, your visitor will be notified that you are not available and, coming soon, will be able to leave you a message.

If you have any SuperIM conversations open when you receive this request, your notification will look slightly different. You will have the option to accept and start a one-on-one conversation, reject the request, or join the web visitor into an existing SuperIM conversation.

If you choose to join the web visitor into an existing SuperIM, any participant can interact with any other participant in the conference.

Managing your SuperIM URL:

Logon to Paltalk and go to File/Setup Preferences. Select the SuperIM tab. You will be able to:

• Set a password

  Don't want your URL to be available to just anyone? No problem, assign a password and share it with your friends.

• Customize your URL

  Choose to either use the SuperIM URL generated or create a customized vanity URL. Your vanity URL will look like this: http://customnamehere.superim.me.

• Disable the URL entirely

  If you don't like this feature, you can disable it.
