What is a Virtual Gift?

Virtual gifts are fun animations that can be sent to other members of a chat room and friends on your Pal list (check out one here). They are a great way to break the ice, show someone you are interested in them or just say hi to a friend. Personalize your virtual gift with an optional custom message that will appear in the animation.

To send a gift in a chat room, right click on the giftee's nickname in the chat room list and choose "Send a Virtual Gift". Other members in the chat room will see that you gifted this person and what gift was sent. A small gift icon will be visible next to the receivers name for a short period of time.

To send a gift to a friend on your Pal list, hover over that member's name and choose "Virtual Gift" to select a gift to send (See a full list of gifts here). A gift will appear next to their name on the Pal list, like this:

What are Paltalk Credits?

Paltalk Credits are our virtual currency. Paltalk Credits let you buy virtual gifts for your friends, or anyone in the chat rooms you're currently in.

How do I get Paltalk Credits?

Paltalk paid subscribers will receive an initial credit pack free as part of their subscription. Anyone can purchase additional credit packs at any time either at the time they send a gift or through the Paltalk Credits Dashboard.

NOTE: Annual (12 month) subscribers will get a one-time credit applied to their account. Monthly subscribers will get a 25 or 50 credits depending on the service level for each month they subscribe.

How do I send a Virtual Gift?

Easy! When in a chat room, right click the name of the member you want to send a gift to and choose the option Send Virtual Gift. You'll be asked to select the type of gift to send and given an option to purchase credits if needed.

What else can I do with these Paltalk Credits?

Currently you can only redeem Credits for virtual gifts, but we will be adding many more ways to redeem them in the future. Watch this space!

What does a crown next to a members name mean?

Crowns are awarded to members who have sent or received lots of Virtual Gifts in the last 60 days.

How do I get a crown next to my name?

Crowns levels are calculated by looking at your last 60 days of gifting activity.

How it works

When you receive a gift, you earn one crown point for every credit received. For example, if you receive a gift worth 100 credits, you get 100 crown points.

When you send a gift, you earn one crown point for every two credits sent. For example, when you send a gift worth a 100 credits, you get 50 crown points.

As you send and receive more gifts, your crown points will increase and you'll notice changes to your crown, like more jewels and added decorations. Crown points expire 60 days after receiving the gift, so make sure to maintain your crown level by continuing to send and receive gifts.

What are Paltalk Virtual Gift Rewards?

Paltalk Virtual Gift Rewards are our way of giving back to the most active Virtual Gifters. Each time you achieve a new crown level, we'll give you Paltalk Credits back as a bonus. Achieve a Level 5 crown and you'll get to keep it - FOR ONE YEAR!

Note: Virtual Gift Rewards can only be redeemed every 90 days for each level.

Do Virtual Gifts expire?

Gifts do not expire and are always reflected on your Paltalk profile.

Do Crowns Points expire?

Yes, crown points expire after 60 days. For example, on day 61, any crown points you received on day 1 are removed and any crown points you earn on day 61 are added to your crown points total.

Maintain your crown by continuing to send and receive gifts.
