Burntcoat Head NS is the home of the worlds highest recorded tides. Listed in the 1975 Guinness Book of World Records. Greatest average tide of 47.5 feet with an extreme range of 53.6 feet. 160 billion tons of water flow daily into the Fundy basin.

The famous ship Bounty commissioned by the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer film studio for the 1962 film Mutiny on the Bounty. Docked here during a visit back in Lunenburg Nova Scotia where she was built in 1960.

Bluenose is the most famous ship in Canadian history. Launched at Lunenburg Nova Scotia in 1921 as a working schooner and raced undefeated in international competition for 17 years. Bluenose II is the sailing ambassador for Nova Scotia .. shown in picture
